Taking a risk with online dating

:
I’m sure you’ve been hearing loads and loads about online dating and so far, you’re undecided on whether online dating is a blessing in disguise or just another meeting place for perverts. Well, just in case you do decide to take a risk on online dating, here are a few tips to remember so that nothing undesirable would happen.

Don’t Give Away Everything On The First Date
This is actually a common strategy tip that you can apply to all forms of dating, whether you’re doing it in person or through the aid of a computer. Experts say that you shouldn’t be totally open during the first date. You have to act a little mysterious and intriguing. You should try your best not to give in completely and right away, even if your date is the perfect mate. When dating online, you’re basically asked to do the same thing but for different reasons. Whereas keeping a little to yourself during live dates are meant to retain the other person’s interest, when dating online, you’re advised to do the same as a precaution. Because dating online doesn’t guarantee at all that you’re talking with someone who’s really who he or she says he is, you shouldn’t be too trustful and virtually believe everything your “date” says. It’s truly better to be safe than sorry.

Take The Time To Know The Person
Again, this is a common dating tip that you can apply to all forms of dating. Don’t let yourself be blinded by a person’s superficial beauty. For a relationship to grow and work, you have to find out if you’ve got more than sexual chemistry going on for the both of you. If you take the time to know your date, you’ll know if he or she has some secret quirks that can easily make you tick or turn you off. Now, when taking the time to know a person, I’m not saying that you should spend time with them 24/7. All it takes to know a person is to talk to your date and listen to what they have to say, rather than do the talking the whole time.

Do A Little Research
One really wonderful thing about the Internet is that you can know just about anything and everything in one sitting. You can try checking on and confirming the identity of your date through a little Internet research. You may also make sure that the dating site you’ve enlisted into have employed sufficient protection to ensure that none of their members would get easily fooled, swindled or smooth-talked into believing something false.

Going in for the goodnight kiss

Nobody wants to be rejected. So how do you know when it's alright to go in for the first goodnight kiss? Well that's a very difficult call to make since every woman/man is different. As a male, I will tackle this topic from the perspective of the man.

Body language is a great way to tell if they're into you. Lets begin by looking at some of the things women do that show they're interested during the conversation:

Playing with and/or twirling hair (this is a tough one and can be confused with a simple case of OCD)

Raising their shoulders straight up and leaning towards you

Hands are open with her palms facing up and outwards

Lots of giggling

You know she's interterested...now what?

It's time to go in for a kiss. Since she's in to you, there will be many opportunities throughout the night to make your move. If you wait until the last minute and hesitate (at the door or end of the date), you pretty much lost your chance. So be on the safe side and try to do it about midway through the date.

What if you're not sure?

Just go for it! What's the worst that can happen...they say no? You have everything to gain and nothing to lose; you'll probably never see them again anyways.

Here are three different approaches to the goodnight kiss:

Silent: Making eye contact and then leaning in about 90% of the way

Polite: Asking them if it's alright to give them a kiss

Brave: Telling them that they have nice lips and asking if you could kiss them

What happens if you chicken out?

Nothing. Opportunities come and go...it really comes down to the person and how they choose to handle the situation. Some people can care less, while others take it harder. But the worst is when you regret not going in for the kiss when you know you should have. It happens to us all...we meet someone we really hit it off with or maybe a friend we always had the biggest crush on but never the nerve to let them know. Before you know it they're gone; it's like clockwork, they either meet someone or move across the country. And in the end all you're left with are those two dreaded words, what if?

First date ideas

When thinking of ideas for a a first date I like to try new things. Rather than cater to what either one of us enjoys I try to find something completely new. This is my way of starting off the relationship with a bang and some excitement. Dinner and a movie has been done to death and so have trips to bars and clubs. Give a few of these ideas a shot and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Skydiving

I haven’t tried this out for a first date idea yet but it seems like it would really be great (provided neither of you are afraid of heights). It’s exhilarating and standing together at the door of a plane about to jump out at several thousand feet has a romantic appeal that not many other things can match. Call your local municipal airport to see if they have any skydiving instructors.

Hookah Cafes

If you’re not one of the enlightened who enjoys middle eastern food and hookah then you should definitely give it a try. It might not be a good option for the health conscious but for the rest of us it makes an excellent first date. Hookah cafes are usually bustling places with a laid back and cozy atmosphere and is a great place to smoke a hookah, enjoy some coffee and have a nice conversation. This works especially well for college students as there are usually many cafes nearby.

Art Conventions/Galleries

One of my favorite places to have a first date is at the monthly art walk they have here through the downtown area. Artists and vendors get together and line the streets. Musicians play their music for you as you walk around and take in the artwork. It works wonders for anyone who can appreciate art.

Live Comedy

Another astounding option for first dates are local comedy clubs. There are a handful of really excellent ones in my area featuring both professional and amateur local comedy acts. This is a great way to break the ice; with some laughs.

Wine Tasting/Tours

If you live somewhere close to vineyards taking a tour or going to a wine tasting make excellent first dates (as long as you’re 21+). A few good wines and good conversation tucked away on a vineyard seems peaceful to me and has worked wonders for me in the past.

Scuba Diving

If you are fortunate enough to live near the beach snorkeling or scuba diving make great date activities. Follow a romp in the ocean with a nice seaside dinner and you have the makings of romance.

Poetry Readings/Book Signings

Poetry readings make great first dates and if you’re the adventurous type you can even whip up a peace to read your date at the reading. Talk about a way to score some points! Book signings are also great even if you’re not really into books. You can enjoy coffee and conversation with your date and often enjoy a dramatic reading from the author.

Love quiz - does confidence attracts love

How do you attract love? How do you attract someone to love you? What do you do so that somebody comes forward and says - I love you? This is a very important question, because many of us are hungry for love that we never get. Let me talk about confidence. Does having confidence attract love?

Let us talk about your self. Do you get attracted to anybody who shows no confidence? Do you madly love anybody who is unsure about everything? Do you fall in romantic love with a person whose very walk and talk shows a very timid person? I do not think many of us will do that. We may pity that person. We may advise that person. But we will never love that person. For loving a person, we have to find a person who commands respect from us. Confidence can do that trick. Let us discuss about confidence and love.

Love and confidence - if you are a confident looking person, you have to take care of over confidence. Do you look aggressive or act smart at all the times? If yes, that can drive people away from you. We all love and respect a confident person, but not somebody who declares that he/she knows all the answers and is infallible. If you lack in confidence, you have to develop it with systematic analysis of your fears and doubts. Why do you have low confidence? Find out the reasons. Are you lacking in abilities or are afraid of using them or you area pessimist? Please think about your confidence level and increase it.

We get attracted to a person who commands respect from us. Confident looking people command respect. Develop confidence to win in the game of love.
